CITAZIONE
Adult occupant
The passenger compartment remained stable in the frontal impact. Structures in the dashboard presented a risk of injury to the knees and femurs of both the driver and passenger. In the side barrier impact, protection of the chest was adequate, with good protection of the head, abdomen and pelvis. A head protecting airbag is not available for the Nemo so no side pole test was performed and no points were scored. The protection provided against whiplash injuries in a rear-end collision was poor.
Child occupant
Both child dummies were sat in forward-facing restraints and, in the frontal impact, the head of each did not move forward excessively. Similarly, in the side impact, both dummies were properly contained by their restraints. The passenger airbag can be disabled to allow a rearward facing child restraint to be used in that seating position. However, information provided to the driver regarding the status of the airbag is not sufficiently clear.
Pedestrian
The Nemo scored maximum points for the protection provided to pedestrians' legs by the bumper. The front edge of the bonnet was also rated as good in some areas. In most areas likely to be struck by a child's head, the protection provided by the bonnet was rated as good. However, protection for the head of an adult was predominantly poor.
Safety assist
Electronic stability control is not available on any variant of the Nemo. A seatbelt reminder is standard for the driver's seat. For the passenger seat, a reminder system is now standard or optional in all European countries. The system has been assessed by Euro NCAP, and the score included in the rating, as it is expected to be fitted as standard in the great majority of European sales.
